If you think about it having wrist mounted guns like grey knights dead shot or perterubo. The is one. Exactly one position you can brace and aim and fire the gun. You must fully extend your arm and twist th wrist up. That’s… intensly undesireable as a combat weapon lol. Something like whirlwind missiles or the plasma caster from predator make a billion times more sense.

I always knew Farsight was a renegade who told the Etherals to kick rocks but upon hearing this deep dive his story really reminds me of two of the Arbiters from Halo. The one from Halo Legends Fal Chavamee and our favorite from 2 and 3 The Vadam. Both of which saw through the lies of the Covenant equivalent of the Ethereals being the Prophets. Fighting against lies they had believed since they were born against a caste of higher ups lying to entire civilizations to maintain power. I always kinda liked Farsight but after noticing these parallels I have a newfound respect for him.

I know I’m late but I just wanted to say good work on yet another fantastic video! I’ve been subbed for awhile now, back when you were definitely a small channel but your work has paid off. Through no fault of your own but the bit toward the end when him and Russ fight always makes me mad. Buddy was so eager and ready to kill Magnus despite Big E telling him to bring him back, burning an entire planet of innocents in the process, but when the man who burns half the galaxy and is partially responsible for Ferrus dying and Vulkan being tortured and dying several times he hesitate. I absolutely despise Russ because of this and really wish that book just never even happened because he’s eternally scarred for it 😂

Wow! Listening to abbadon talking about what had just happened is so perfect. Shame, mixed with anger, disbelief, yet also… respect. I have never heard anyone give a version of how I would imagine he spoke in that moment that’s so perfect, due to Abaddon being a pretty op and constantly buffed character. The voice actor honesty covered himself in glory, absolutely unbelievable. 🔥

One of the many tragic aspects of 40k, specifically the Heresy, were all the Space Marines who were loyal not so much to the Imperium or Chaos, but to their legion, their friends. it was hard to watch them suffer for it.

This channel has spent the last two years destroying all warhammer competition with the exception of vox in the void. Well done gentlemen. Yes, I know some of the other major channels do voice acting on this channel.

It’d be interesting to see how something we as the audience know but the characters themselves didn’t. Like the Emperor being a perpetual or the great khan in a stasis pod or any of a billion things that any character who did know is now dead.

I respectfully disagree. Ra has a great story but I find the end of it to be more epic. But I find there to be far better scenes in the lore and far better encapsulations of the grim darkness. The emperor is the antidote to chaos. The emperor is the embodiment of hope. The only grimdark thing about the emperor is his tyrannical nature and willingness to sacrifice a lot to win. Given the context that he has knowledge of humanity's demise at the hand of chaos, it mitigates his seemingly senseless ruthlesness at times. Tau leader cast stripping their entire race of their free will to further their idea of good. That is grim dark. Demonchulaba, oh my fucking god how disturbed are some of these writers? Genestealer cults. The world is filled with incredibly dark and disgusting concepts. Anything with the emperor in it is high fantasy in comparisson imho.

The great souring - hahahahaha! Love it! Reminds me of the emperor cartoon yelling about life giving lemons! I bet they were all pretty sour though, Trust me…. Warfare - naked open warfare sucks. It’s outright terrifying to be on the menu, and actually have a firing gun pointed at you changes you fundamentally as a person.

I found tallarn super boring and nothing really to do with the giant tank fights plus it focused on a bunch of characters I didn’t know about and didn’t really care about

The way Lion, during the Crusade, acknowledges what he had inherited from the Emperor, his own role as the protector and his main trait: Duty and Loyalty and how it plays out in vis return is amazing.
